Fog

Fog

fog

Evening.

The world ascends into the clouds.

Dewy curtains hang upon the air,

Blurring lines and muting sound.

Water.

In the air, above and below,

Misting the earth with feather kisses,

Whispers of rain.

Ghosts.

Hazy images melt into white.

Spectral figures of a dream half remembered,

Fading from view.

White.

Colors and shapes smudged, mingled.

A watercolor world viewed behind a veil

That will riseΒ with the sun.
